Bewerbung

Wer an unserer Hochschule ab dem Wintersemester 2012/13 studieren möchte, muss sich einer Eignungsprüfung unterziehen. Studienanfänger legen die Eignungsprüfung für den Studiengang Bachelor of Music, das Künstlerische Lehramt für Musik oder das Pre-College ab.

Wer ein einschlägiges Studium bereits begonnen hat, das mindestens zu einer Einstufung in das 7. Fachsemester führen würde, kann sich noch für einen der derzeit auslaufenden Diplomstudiengänge bewerben.

Bewerber, die bereits ein einschlägiges Musikstudium abgeschlossen haben, legen die Eignungsprüfung zur Aufnahme in einen Master-Studiengang oder in die Meisterklasse ab.

Bewerbungsschluss ist der 31. März 2012.

International Applicants

You are considered a foreign national if you have a German Abitur (or the Swiss or Austrian equivalent) from a German-speaking country in Europe or if you have completed a degree (using the German language) from another German-speaking university in Europe. You may then apply as other German applicants.

All other international applicants should apply with the uni-assist. Detailed information for international applicants not considered foreign nationals can be found at the link International Applicants.

Necessary documents for a successful application

a completed application for admission (can be found on this page at the right-hand column)
proof of payment of the application fee (bank statement, "Kontoauszug")
an updated, completed curriculum vitae which includes information about previous studies
all school-leaving certificates and copies of certificates for all exams taken at a university or Hochschule
1 passport photo
identity card or passport (copy)
in addition for international applicants: proof of German language proficiency and a translation of all certificates in German or English
for transfer students: original enrollment certificate for the last semester at a previous Hochschule or university

Applicants for music theory or composition should attach documents for preselection process.

Applicants for the master's programme should include a cover letter explaining why they are applying to the programme and what their goals are.

Upon enrolment, the above mentioned documents must be presented in their original form or as notarized copies.

To save time and effort, please do not send folder covers along with the application.

Fees for the entrance examination application

All applicants (with the exception of those for the pre-college programme) must pay a fee of 30 € for the entrance examination. Those applicants who are currently studying at the University of Music, Wuerzburg pay a reduced fee of 10 €. The fee is due upon applying for the entrance examination; proof of payment via a bank statement or receipt of payment from your bank is required. Without sufficient proof of payment your application cannot be processed and your participation in the entrance examination denied.
