New in the Academic Year 2010/2011
All applicants who wish to begin their studies at the University of Music Wuerzburg in the winter semester 2010/2011 will enter the Bachelor of Music degree programme. In the framework of this degree programme, students choose a field of study (for instance, orchestral instruments - performance), a specialisation (for example, strings), and within the specialisation a principal instrument (such as violin).
Those students who wish to transfer from another university of music (and are in at least their third semester) will be placed in one of the current diploma degree programmes in performance or instrumental pedagogy [Diplommusiker/in, Diplommusiklehrer/in].
The Master's programme will not yet be available in the winter semester 2010/2011. Until further notice, applicants for this programme can take part in our post-graduate degree programmes, in accordance with the current guidelines of these programmes.

Please Note
Only those applicants who are currently enrolled at the University in the winter semester 2010/2011, and are in the 5th major semester of the DL programme or of the teacher certification programme, will be considered for the entrance examination for a supplementary subject.
Teaching Certification (State Examination)
An der Hochschule für Musik können Sie die Lehrämter Musik für die Schulstufen:
- Lehramt an Grund- und Hauptschulen (GH),
- Lehramt an Realschule (R) sowie
- Lehramt an Gymnasien als
- Doppelfach (GyD) und als
- Zweitfach (GyZ)
studieren.
Das Studium ist breit und vielfältig angelegt und vermittelt so eine große Bandbreite von Kenntnissen und Fertigkeiten im künstlerischen, wissenschaftlichen und pädagogischen Bereich.
