In order to support music authors whose income has declined due to the Corona pandemic, the NEUSTART KULTUR initiative of the GEMA Foundation was created in cooperation with the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

The support is intended to enable artists to continue working in a musical-artistic capacity and to use the time for the development and implementation of ideas or for further training.

With the composer Daniel Hensel, who studied with Prof. Heinz Winbeck between 1999 and 2003 (Diplom-Musiker) and between 2009 and 2011 (Meisterklasse), an alumnus of the University of Music Würzburg is also among the cultural workers who successfully applied for a scholarship of the project.
