Prof. Martin Dombrowski

Martin Dombrowski studied at the University of Music in Freiburg/Breisgau.
During his studies, he won second prize at two international piano competitions in Italy. This was followed by TV recordings at RAI di Napoli and concert engagements in Spain, France and, above all, Italy.
In 1992, Dombrowski succeeded in securing Herbert Nold as his manager. Nold, one of Germany's most influential music managers, arranged over 40 television appearances for Dombrowski on ARD, ZDF, SAT 1, NDR, MDR and SDR, as well as three productions broadcast worldwide on DW. This intensive media presence resulted in hundreds of concert engagements in Germany and other European countries, including several extensive tours (with up to 50 piano recitals within two months).
Between 2015 and 2019, Dombrowski was invited on four tours of China, giving piano recitals in a total of 36 cities across this vast country.
Dombrowski has produced over 60 CDs. Among many other works, he has recorded all the piano sonatas by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as all the piano pieces by Edvard Grieg and the complete piano works of Robert Schumann (www.martin-dombrowski.de/CDs).
From 2002 to 2022, Dombrowski was engaged annually by ‘RT25-Freiburg’ for a charity piano recital. The net proceeds from these 20 evenings – totalling well over a quarter of a million euros – always went to sick and socially disadvantaged children.
At the age of 29, Martin Dombrowski was appointed professor at the University of Music in Würzburg, where he has been teaching ever since.
